Everything in your pocket

What you get as a Medi Diary patient.

A complete health companion, not another app that does one thing. Everything unbadged is live at the September launch; badged features follow in Phase 2 (December 2026) and Phase 3 (June 2027).

Appointments

Book GPs and specialists without a phone queue. AI question-prep joins in Phase 2.

Telehealth

See a doctor by video from anywhere. The consult lands in your record automatically.

Phase 3

Medications & adherence

Reminders, refill alerts and streaks, plus QR prescription handoff at any pharmacy.

Lab results

Results arrive the moment they're released, with abnormal values flagged. Plain-language explanations join in Phase 2.

Sick notes & letters

Digitally signed sick notes, referrals and clinical letters, always in your pocket.

Your language

English, Afrikaans, isiZulu, isiXhosa, Sesotho, including translated visit summaries.

Family & dependants

Your children and parents on one account, with vaccination schedules and reminders.

Women's & men's health

Cycle and pregnancy tracking; PHQ-9, cardiovascular, prostate and metabolic checks.

Phase 2

Chronic & autoimmune tracking

Build custom trackers for the things that matter in your condition, symptoms, flares, labs and triggers, with early-warning alerts to catch a change before it gets worse.

Phase 2

Wearables & wellness

Connect Fitbit and more; track vitals, diet and trends in beautiful analytics.

Phase 3

Encrypted vault

Every scan, X-ray and document encrypted in Cape Town. Only you hold the key.

Safe sharing

PIN-protected, expiring links, and a full log of who viewed what, when.

Emergency SOS

A profile paramedics can read in seconds: allergies, blood type, emergency contacts.

The whole household

One record for everyone you care for.

You, your children and a parent you look after, all on one account. For the youngest patients, friendly apps of their own are on the way.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is the Medi Diary pilot?
Before our public launch in September 2026, we're onboarding patients in waves so we can perfect the experience with real South Africans. Joining the waiting list is free and puts you first in line for a pilot invitation.
Is my health data safe?
Yes. Medi Diary is POPIA-compliant by design: your data is encrypted and hosted in Cape Town, every access is written to a tamper-proof audit ledger you can inspect, and only people you authorise can see your record. Doctors on the platform are verified against the HPCSA register.
How much does it cost?
There's a free plan that gives you a full, patient-owned health record at no cost, and joining the waiting list and pilot is free. Paid plans will add Solis AI and deeper tracking, with pricing announced closer to the September 2026 launch. Pensioners use Medi Diary free, with the AI diet plan and medication reminders switched on.
Which languages are supported?
English, Afrikaans, isiZulu, isiXhosa and Sesotho, including visit summaries from your doctor, translated into your language.
Can I manage my family's health too?
Yes. Dependants live on your account, children, elderly parents and anyone you care for, with their own records, vaccination schedules and appointment reminders.
What is Solis AI?
Solis AI is your built-in health companion. It explains results in plain language, triages symptoms and prepares questions for your next consultation. It arrives in Phase 2 (from December 2026), once its clinical and legal review is signed off. We won't ship AI into your health record before that. It's a companion, not a doctor: allergy alerts always come first and every AI answer carries a medical disclaimer.
